microBIOMETER® PRO – measure soil life in 20 minutes

An affordable on-site test for microbial biomass and the fungal-to-bacterial ratio – the two figures that let you judge the health of your soil objectively. Microbial biomass is regarded as one of the best single indicators of soil health (Doran, 2000). Whoever measures regularly sees whether cover crops, compost, biostimulants, liming or reduced tillage really work – between two lab analyses and without waiting.

The method is more accurate than microscopic counting in the lab, far less work and cheaper. The free app delivers a concrete figure with GPS position and time stamp, stores all measurements in the cloud portal and exports them to Excel. The PRO version measures soil and compost (not compost teas/extracts).
